About Us

Who Am I?

My name is Ashley Jackson. I am located in Paris, TN. I am a holistic dog trainer and behavior modification specialist in reactivity. I started on this journey to bring a new level of canine knowledge to the average pet dog owner. 

My Passion

Teaching dogs, and humans, how to better communicate and teach each other how to learn together. I want to see more happy balanced dogs staying with their families and out of shelters and rescues.

My Mission

My mission is to ensure your dog can safely navigate this human world. I want to provide humans with the knowledge and tools to build a beautiful balanced relationship and understanding of each other.

Continued Education and Why That is Important

At Dog and Me University I strive to continue my education in canine behavior. I have had the pleasure of attending a mentorship program under the most sought out behavior modification trainers, Jonas Black. Now I work along side him to teach his comprehensive concepts to other dog trainers, internationally. 

I am incredibly proud to not only train in the most ethical way, but also to be able to relay to my clients why we are training a certain way. I work in a holistic manner to address the underlying behaviors by working on the emotions your dog feels about certain things. It really brings training full circle for long lasting results.

My goal with any dog or training program is to see a dog happily living a stress free, enjoyable life. Allowing more freedoms because the dog has been taught better choices.

    Phone Consultation

    A phone consultation allows me to learn more about your dog, your goals, and figure out the best plan of action. I want to make sure I am the best trainer for your needs.

    FREE

    In-Person Consultation

    An in-person consultation may be required for more serious behavior issues. This will allow me to see how the dog presents unwanted behaviors, see what we need to change to improve said behaviors, and set a proper protocol. Or if you would just like to meet and chat before choosing me as your right fit.

    45 min-1 hour

    Puppy Foundations

    Designed to help puppies navigate their new world. This includes potty training, crate training, exposure, schedule, feeding, and setting a good foundation.

    Two-Four week program

    $200.00-$400.00

    Once a week for one hour.

    Family Immersion Program

    The FIT program is designed to provide the commitment and consistency of a Board+Train program within your own home environment.

    Leash Walking

    $500

    5 days (Mon-Fri for one consecutive week) of daily sessions working on handler engagement and loose leash walking.

    Foundations

    $1,200

    10 days (Mon-Fri for 2 consecutive weeks) of daily sessions working on handler engagement, loose leash walking, and the place command.

    Advanced

    $1,500

    15 days (Mon-Fri for 3 consecutive weeks) of daily sessions working on handler engagement, loose leash walking, place, and longline recall, OR addressing minor leash reactivity/fear (barking, lunging, growling, hiding).

    Off-Leash Advanced

    $2,500

    20 days (Mon-Fri for 4 consecutive weeks) of daily sessions working on handler engagement, loose leash walking, place, and e-collar recall, OR addressing severe leash reactivity/fear (barking, lunging, growling, hiding).

    Intensive

    $3,500

    30 days (Mon-Fri for 6 consecutive weeks) of daily sessions for high fear or reactivity (attempted or successful bites, dogs too afraid/overwhelmed to engage with the environment).

    Off-Leash Finisher

    Solidify all on leash commands with e-collar off leash. Recalling using e-collar and proofing with different distractions. (Dogtra or Mini Educator e-collars only permitted.)

    $750

    10 days (Mon-Fri for 2 consecutive weeks) of daily sessions to condition e-collar and solidify all on leash commands. Focusing on recall and working in distractions.

    Private Maintenance Sessions

    Need to clean up your skills or struggling in a certain area? Maintenance sessions are like little tune ups. We can fix problem areas or learn a new skill needed to improve you and your dogs life. Offered to previous clients only.

    Pay by session

    One hour sessions

    Pack Walks/Group Sessions

    Pack walk and group sessions are for current or past clients upon approval. This is a great way to proof under supervised distractions, socialize and gain neutrality as we work together, and improve handler skills. Pack walks will be followed by a short group session.

    Times announced on private FB group

    $25 per dog

    Location announced with date and time.

    There is an additional charge for travel after 15 miles from my location.

    Preferably in your home in the dogs environment to address behaviors associated within the home, unless we are proofing in a different location.

    You can start puppy foundations and shaping immediately once you have your puppy. No dog is too old to learn new things!

    I will work with your dog and teach you how to learn with your dog. Your presence is extremely important to the training process. You will be doing all the work and building your relationship with your dog.
